Day Of The Dad

As you may be aware, I have written a couple of posts for The Dad Network, this site is run by Al, a Dad to a little dude, a teacher and a guy who obviously hates sleep or has developed a time machine as he seems to cover so much in so few hours!!

Any way The Dad Network (Al) sent out an invite some time back, this was an open invitation to all dads to attend Day Of The Dad, the opportunity to meet up with like minded Dad's and basically have a beer (or diet coke in my case) and talk about anything and everything!

The event was held on the recently refurbished Tattershall Castle boat moored on the Thames just along from Embankment station!

Unfortunately the sun failed to make an appearence but this had no impact on the mood at the event! Al kindly arranged for some food which was very nice especially the sweet potato fries!! It was a good turn out and got to meet some fantastic gents that I had previously spoke to over twitter but had yet to meet them in person!

I have to admit that I was impressed with those that travelled from further a field such as Doncaster and it was good to speak to those that were old hat at blogging (I am looking at Martin and John here!) as well as some newer bloggers and Dads!! !

There are so many events out there for Mum bloggers it was great to finally attend an event purely for us Dads!!  We all got a great goody bag and some picked up lego for the kids, all in all this was a great event!

I am looking forward to the next event (there will be another one right?) and also thanks to those that sponsored the event to make it possible, show some love to Ella's Kitchen (my little niece can't get enough of there smoothies!!) and Tommee Tippee.
