In an up and coming podcast episode on Meet the Parentsw here I talk about the kids growing up and time flying (yes I've blogged about this before).
Since moving in October we have been thankful for the access to a shed size storage unit at Safestore. Everything from the old shed is in their including the Christmas decorations. Having packed up the tree etc yesterday it was time to return them to our unit.
Since visiting, something has always appealed to me about the straight lines and symmetry of the corridors has always appealed to me, and yesterday decided to take a picture. This is the result, to save energy the lights in store are on motion sensors so my end of the corridor is light whilst the end is dark!
Last week was the opening of the worlds largest Lego store in Leicester Square, London, if you follow my twitter or instagram you would not have failed to notice that my invite to the opening never materialised (How rude) .... but hey I am not bitter.... ok perhaps just a little but it is because I am a massive LEGO fan!
You know when your kids moan that something is wrong with their phone, is your first instinct to think that they are just trying to pull a fast one to get a new phone?
I am pleased to say that the dadyougeek family is getting slightly bigger! By family I mean blogging family, the eldest, Ash has decided that she wants to start blogging!
Yesterday WhatsApp announced on their blog that in the coming days they will be launching Video Calling to its 1 Billion users, so there is a high probability that if you are reading this you are a WhatsApp user!
So a friend passed on an email to me a few weeks back for early access to the new Star Wars Identities exhibition taking place at The o2, (Thanks Debs!). The offer was with Time Out to get an early preview to the exhibition ahead of its official opening on 16 November.
It is difficult to tell you about the exhibition without ruining it for you but to give you the gist, it follows journey of Luke and Anakin Skywalker, right back from where it began in Tatooine, to their friends, mentors and choices they make during their life.
If you have followed this blog for a while or follow me on social media you will be aware I'm a Spurs fan! Currently our home ground is being knocked down in prep for the new stadium, as a result we are having to play our Champions League games at the fabulous Wembley Stadium.
Going on holiday is the perfect time to chill out and relax from the daily grind! When packing to go away there are a few essentials I have to take with me!
I'm not talking about swimming shorts, suncream etc I'm talking about gadgets and tech!
I already had my cameras, Mac, iPad and iPhone ready (nope I don't travel light) but to add to the kit and make sure we could all chill out whilst around the pool the lovely people from Wraps earphones sent us each a pair of their unique earphones.
Hello.... It has been a while since I posted a blog post, live has been getting in the way and it has been a busy period for us, but I am hoping to get back on it, organised an posting regularly soon!!
I thought I would ease myself back in gentley and share this photo I grabbed at Spurs this weekend,
With the wife and the eldest planning a shopping trip, Little Geek and I were looking for something to keep us busy yesterday, after failing to check the weather forecast, or it not being correct (the rain arrived earlier than we thought) we decided to head up the M11 to Wimpole Estate!
This post might get a little geeky so don't let it put you off!
I know from analytic stats on the blog that a large number of you read the blog on a mobile or tablet, and of those (75%) are reading iOS (Apple's mobile operating system), with the release of iOS 9 Apple introduced the News app, if you haven't checked it out then I recommend it its very good!
In March, Apple opened up the app so that anyone can publish to the News App including bloggers. I use

You know when you have those weeks where you want to escape....... well this is where I wanted to go this weekend, a place we found a few weeks ago when in Pembrokeshire (I do love this part of the world).
