A Grown Ups Christmas Lego Wish List

Last week was the opening of the worlds largest Lego store in Leicester Square, London, if you follow my twitter or instagram you would not have failed to notice that my invite to the opening never materialised (How rude) .... but hey I am not bitter.... ok perhaps just a little but it is because I am a massive LEGO fan!

This got me thinking about Christmas and what new LEGO items I would love santa to bring me this year... after all I am surely on the nice list!

It is pretty much guaranteed that at least one LEGO item would appear on my wish list, but usually not a cheap item!

If anyone says LEGO is just for kids they are clearly mistaken and many of you will either be LEGO fans or have a better half who is, and as such I thought I would share with you my list of items that any "Grown Up" Lego fan would love this Christmas!

This was going to be a list of 5 Lego vehicles any LEGO fan would love but then I realised it would miss out on some non vehicles that I would love to receive..... So here goes!

This is the top of my list, typical that it is one of the most expensive but when you realise it has over 2700 pieces you can understand why, I recommend checking out the video on the LEGO website that goes into detail about the product, concept and how they went about designing this, also check out the size of the manual for this!!!

What is more iconic than a MINI Cooper, I think this one holds a sentimental grip on me as I remember there used to be a Cooper around the corner to where we lived in this British racing green, really nice piece and one I would love to add to my collection!

My parents got me this a coupe of years ago for Christmas, the missus was happy as it kept me busy for a good few hours!  Great fun building this, a bit of a bugger to keep dust free, I can't afford a real split screen camper so this will have to do for now!

This is a lot larger than I thought it was going to be, I picked this up following our recent trip to LEGOland and was amazed at the size of the thing!  A great addition to the camper van!

I thought LEGO had discontinued this and am pleased to see it is still around and will hopefully pick this up shortly! (Hint hint..... Mel if you're reading this can Santa get me this?)

I already have the car and this would be a great addition! I guess you could say a bit like WALL.E this blurs the line between what is for children and what is for the more "grown up kids" but as LEGO say it is for 16+ I am the target audience ;o)

It is to hard to choose! There are so many great LEGO Star Wars pieces available including the above there is the death star, tie fighter and numerous other characters!

Ok, if I am honest I just couldn't choose one LEGO, have a look at the link there are many great sets especially Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Lourve and New York City.  I think the one that I am really drawn to is the Studio pack, that lets you build your own building

If I am honest this list could have been a very long post as there is so many great items out there that I don't have and really need would like to have.

If you were to make a list what would you add?  Put a comment below to let me know!

Also fellow blogger Jim (aka One Dad One Blog) has pulled together a post about his LEGO Christmas Gift Guide, go and check that out also, as this includes something the kids would love as well,

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post, but if LEGO want to work with me... hey who am I to say no!
