Is this Olympus camera setting cheating?

Is this Olympus camera setting cheating?

I haven’t provided an update on my camera situation on the blog so thought a quick post about a recent photo I took was in order!

Until last year I was a Nikon user through and through, I borrowed some of my Dad’s lenses but he changed over to Olympus, last year I took the plunge and also! I took a gamble and purchased a second hand camera from a shop in Watford called SRS Microsystems.

How to see Kos in a day!

How to see Kos in a day!

Holidays are so important to us as a family (as they probably are to you as well), we all work hard, be it at school or work and we all look forward to the big summer holiday!

The past few years have involved a trip to the Spanish mainland, a Canary or Balearic Island, as much as we like them we did start to get bored of these and fancied something different.  This year we went to Kos!  We mainly chose Kos because of it's pretty much guaranteed sunshine in August, as well as good food and awesome sea!

Well what a week it has been!  Spent Monday to Friday down in Devon!

More on that to come, however I some how managed to tweak my back whilst packing up the car for the return journey!

I took somewhere in the region of 500 photo's on my camera (Dad's Olympus!) and many many more on the iPhone, but I due to this stupid back I have yet had the time to go through them and select some to pull together in a post.

#MYSUNDAYPHOTO - Typical January

So it has been back to work for me this week, that has mean't the travelling about the place has started again fro 2018. Although I am not going to grumble, 2018 has treated me very well so far, in that my Dad gave me his old iMac (old as in about a year....bonus!!) and I have ordered a new car, which I left stupidly late.  Due to the miles I do I lease my cars and my current one is going back on 19th January and until Friday I hadn't sorted a new one!

#MYSUNDAYPHOTO - National Trust

Yesterday was a strange day weather wise, one minute brilliant blue sky with some amazing white fluffy clouds, the next moment very over cast and meant that a sudden down pour was imminent!

I decided to pay a visit to another National Trust property (I have membership so might as well make the most of it!), I couldn't tempt the family to come with but luckily my cousin Luke was on hand to come for a walk and seek inspiration from the amazing Belton House.

#MYSUNDAYPHOTO - Lovely day for a walk

The cold weather has gone for now and been replaced by some nice sunshine, well it had yesterday!

With my new job we are given a Fitbit and I am trying as much as possible to get my steps up to the 10,000 a day target!  When working from home trust me this is sometimes a challenge and takes planning!

I intend therefore to make the most of my weekends! Yesterday I didnt manage to hit my 10,000 but not far off, but due to a little diversion on the way to pick my dad up for football I managed to grab this lovely picture!

It's an area outside Stevenage called Bennington with a number of public footpaths which I want to explore!

#MYSUNDAYPHOTO - Order or the start of a horror movie?

Since moving in October we have been thankful for the access to a shed size storage unit at Safestore.  Everything from the old shed is in their including the Christmas decorations.  Having packed up the tree etc yesterday it was time to return them to our unit.

Since visiting, something has always appealed to me about the straight lines and symmetry of the corridors has always appealed to me, and yesterday decided to take a picture.  This is the result, to save energy the lights in store are on motion sensors so my end of the corridor is light whilst the end is dark!

#MYSUNDAYPHOTO - Oh Baubles

It's that time of year when the tree needs to go up, we don't subscribe to the convention of putting the tree up 12 days before Christmas! It usually tends to go up on or around the 1st December.  I therefore thought it would be fitting to make my first #MYSUNDAYPHOTO of December a festive one.  I'm also guessing that a number of fellow bloggers will show a picture of The Christmas Tree itself but I've gone for this shot!
